One of the ways I have found to improve my mood is that I started a daily walking routine. I was feeling run down and I had gained some weight. I decided I was going to do something about it.
I had heard of the Fitbit so I decided to go buy one. It was something that would hold me accountable for getting some exercise. After research I decided I would like to have the Fitbit Charge HR. According to the reviews it was the most accurate. It has a pedometer, calorie tracker,steps climbed, a watch, distance traveled, and it tracks your heart rate.
Shortly after I bought it and I downloaded the app on my phone I realized I wanted to reach certain goals daily. When you hit ten thousand steps it will vibrate and show on the screen. I have to say I love the way I feel when I hit that daily goal. The Fitbit helps me to feel good about myself. My husband and others have been telling me they notice a change in my body since I started walking. Seeing the results the walking is giving me makes me feel good about what I am doing. I know I am getting results and it is a great feeling when someone else notices.
There is a routine I follow. I walk in the morning and in the evening once the sun goes down. My route started out at a mile and now I got it up to around 2 miles. That is a good walk both morning and night. Just doing my daily tasks I get another mile or so a day. On average I walk over 5 miles a day and that is a good feeling.
The Fitbit is one of the best things I have ever invested in. The feeling of accomplishment that has come with it is amazing. I keep wanting to one up what i have done the day or week before. Having goals like this is simply amazing and fun.
