Hello everyone! It has been a long while since I wrote a blog post. I had a hard time with a bout of depression and was feeling low and crying a lot. My post is not about that but how I am not letting this setback get the best of me. One thing I have done during this was make myself walk and I joined a class called MixxedFit.
“MixxedFit is a people-inspired dance fitness program that is a mix of explosive dancing and boot camp toning” as defined by the MixxedFit site. A friend of mine is an instructor. She and her mom who is also a close friend asked me to try the class.At first I found it a little hard to keep up because it had been a while since I have done any type of workout or dancing. I am catching on and I LOVE IT!!!! When I am finished with a workout I feel so good. My body is reaping the benefits also. My body is more toned and I am feeling better about myself. I cannot thank my friends enough for talking to me about this. Every week I look forward to my class. This is a positive point in my life right now and a good place to be.
I will not say I do not have depressive episodes and times when I feel extremely low. My body with the fibromyalgia still will hurt but the exercise works wonders. When I come out of my class I feel as if I accomplished something great. I have done something for myself and it feels awesome. This is just the one I found for myself and I love it.
I did not get paid for this post this is just my opinion and thoughts on what I have experienced and how it has helped me. You can see videos on the site and there is also videos on YouTube to watch. Check it out. I found how much fun it is and I feel much better now that I have started this journey. This workout goes along with my walking. Walking is a good time to just reflect on things going on in your life. My walking has helped me to lose weight and get healthier. I look forward to my walks daily as my time. Everyone dealing with any type of issue needs to take time for themselves. It is crucial.
